I decided to write this review after a big box appliance truck damaged our front entrance gate. The entire incident was captured, beautifully, on film... I'm the president of a small condo association in SW Houston. I needed a hi-tech, state-of-the-art surveillance system for our gated community. I contacted, Peter, owner of Vertical Security Group, and purchased three (3) security cameras: Two motion (3 megapixels) and one license plate. The resolution on the cameras are extraordinary!Q: Ever been on a Toll Road and observed the camera check points? That camera technology was installed at the condo association.I expected the camera installation to be a challenge because the Association does not have an office onsite - to store and safely secure the equipment. Peter welcomed the challenge, then overcame it by securing a Nema box (weather proof enclosure) to house the modem and PoE switch. Because the camera's are IP (internet protocol) ready, no router was needed. Side Note: Don't worry about all the technical jargon because Peter effortlessly navigates (and explains) that to his customers.Cloud versus DVR. I did not feel comfortable storing the DVR outdoors, so I chose the cloud service. All recordings / images are stored online for 30 days. And, I can observe all three cameras, remotely, from my home or office. Truly amazing! NOTE: Peter sells surveillance cameras, installs them, and offers online cloud support. Back to the damaged the gate. The images are crystal clear: License plate number and US DOT numbers, and of course the truck (carelessly) ramming through the gate, then drives away as if nothing happened.The Bottom Line: I received three vendor bids, and Peter beat them all. Equally important, he was the most knowledgable and offered better options for my community than the other contractors. If you're looking to protect your place of residence and/or your business, look no further. Peter offers outstanding customer service at a reasonable price.
